Primary 1 and 2 Celebrate Safer Internet Day 2025

11th Feb 2025

On Safer Internet Day 2025, our Primary 1 and 2 students engaged in a busy day focused on the theme 'Too Good to be True'. To kick off the day, they participated in a fun PE session that revolved around keeping safe and exploring safe spaces—an engaging way for the children to understand the basics of internet safety.

Next, the children heard the story of Digiduck and the Magic Castle, where they discovered what steps to take if a suspicious message pops up. This interactive storytelling session sparked thoughtful conversations about their own internet usage and the various devices they engage with daily.

Using the Seesaw app, the children chatted about both the benefits and potential downsides of the internet. This exercise allowed them to express their thoughts and feelings about their online experiences in a creative way.

To wrap up the day, they discussed what information is safe to share online and what should be kept private.

Overall, Safer Internet Day was a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to recognise that not everything they see online is as it appears, helping them to navigate the digital world with greater awareness and caution.
