P7 Leaver's celebrations 20.06.2025
Our P7 pupils were given a truly memorable send-off as the entire St. Mary’s Primary School community came together to celebrate their journey from P1 to P7. It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and heartfelt moments, marking the end of a very special chapter.
The celebration began with the P7 children proudly reciting a touching Leavers’ Poem, capturing the spirit of their time at St. Mary’s with warmth, humour, and gratitude. Their voices echoed with pride as they shared memories and looked ahead to the future.
This was followed by a moving performance of their Leavers’ Song, which brought smiles and a few tears to the eyes of everyone present. The lyrics, filled with emotion and hope, resonated deeply with pupils, staff, and families alike.
A highlight of the event was a beautiful video montage, showcasing the children’s journey from their very first days in P1 to their final moments in P7. Laughter and tears filled the room as parents, guardians, and grandparents watched their children grow before their eyes, reliving treasured memories and milestones.
Adding a special touch to the day, our youngest pupils in P1 presented each P7 with a rose and a poem, wishing them well on their next adventure. This thoughtful gesture symbolised the strong bonds across year groups and the caring spirit of our school community.
As the celebration came to a close, the P7s were honoured with a guard of honour from their peers. With cheers, claps, and waves, they walked through a corridor of love and support, leaving the school for the last time with heads held high and hearts full of memories.
Though there were a few tears, they were tears of pride, joy, and gratitude. We are incredibly proud of our P7 leavers and all they have achieved. With the support of their families and the foundation built at St. Mary’s, we know they are ready to embrace the exciting journey ahead.
