Celebrating Pancake Day in Style
This year, our children truly embraced Pancake Day with a fun-filled, hands-on approach! They started off by writing their very own shopping lists, carefully selecting all the ingredients needed for the perfect pancake. Once they gathered their supplies, they got down to business. Measuring the ingredients with precision, they mixed everything together, and soon the delightful aroma of pancakes filled the air. The best part? They got creative with a variety of scrumptious toppings, from marshmallows, to syrup, to gooey chocolate sauce, topped with lashings of cream making each pancake a work of art! They were able to design their own pancake recipes are making their delicious creations.
As if that wasn’t enough, the pancake fun continued in their PE lesson! They engaged in movements inspired by pancake vocabulary, leaping like flipping pancakes and swirling like syrup. It was a fantastic way to combine learning with physical activity!
To wrap up the day, we came together to discuss Lent, reflecting on how we can make better choices as we approach Easter. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to think about positive changes in their lives while enjoying the delights of Pancake Day.
