🦴 World Around Us: Magnificent Machines ðŸ§
This term in World Around Us, we’ve been exploring the fascinating topic of Magnificent Machines—starting with the most incredible machine of all: the human body! We began by thinking about how our body works like a machine, with all its parts working together to keep us alive.
We investigated our five senses and discussed what a healthy diet looks like to fuel our bodies properly. Then we took a journey inside the body to discover what’s beneath the surface. We learned about our bones and how they come together to form our skeletons. Using Q-tips, we created fantastic skeleton pictures, making sure to include key bones like the spine, rib cage, skull, and legs.
We also explored our organs—what they do and where they belong. From the brain to the lungs and stomach, we had fun identifying their functions and placing them in the correct spots on body outlines.
It’s been a brilliant start to our topic, helping us appreciate just how magnificent our bodies really are!
