Recently, we have been learning all about handling data. The children have explored how to collect information, how to organise it, and how to present it clearly.
We practised recording data using tally marks, displaying information in tables, and creating a range of graphs to show our results. The children also learned how to read and interpret data, looking closely at what the information told us and answering questions based on their charts.
After this, we moved on to using ICT to display data. We used JIT to create our own tables, bar charts, line graphs and pie charts. The children enjoyed experimenting with different chart styles and seeing how the same information could be shown in different ways.
Everyone worked brilliantly, investigating ideas, asking questions, and discovering how data helps us understand the world around us!
