💻🛡️🌐 Internet Safety Day 🌐🛡️💻
This week, our P3, P4 and P5 pupils took part in Internet Safety Day, learning how to use the internet safely, responsibly, and confidently.
We began by exploring all the different ways we use the internet at home and in school, and talked about why it’s important to make sensible decisions online.
Then, we discussed public and private information. Pupils learned what is safe to share online and what should always be kept private, helping them understand how to protect themselves on websites, apps, and games.
We also explored how to be SMART online, using these important rules:
- S – Safe: Keep personal information private.
- M – Meet: Never meet someone you only know online.
- A – Accept: Don’t accept messages, friend requests, or files from strangers.
- R – Reliable: Remember that not everything online is true — check your sources.
- T – Tell: If something makes you uncomfortable, sad or confused, tell a trusted adult straight away.
At the end of the week, everyone completed an Internet Safety Quiz, showing just how much they had learned. We were so proud to present every pupil with a certificate for their fantastic online safety knowledge.
Well done, P3, P4 & P5! 💻🌟
