🎸🌟 Grandparents’ Day Celebration 🌟🎸

6th Feb 2026

Our school was bursting with joy and excitement as we welcomed grandparents and older relatives for our much‑loved Grandparents’ Day celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to honour the special people who support, guide, and inspire them every day.

We began the day with a lively and heartfelt assembly, where pupils proudly took to the stage to share why “Our Grandparents Rock.” A number of children read personal reflections about the kindness, wisdom, humour, and love their grandparents bring into their lives. Others treated us to a touching poem celebrating the memories and stories passed down through generations.

A highlight for everyone was our enthusiastic performance of “We Are the Champions” by Queen. We chose this uplifting anthem to remind our grandparents that they are our champions—always cheering us on, helping us grow, and standing by us with endless support. The hall was filled with proud voices, smiling faces, and plenty of heartfelt moments.

In preparation for the day, pupils created colourful and imaginative portraits of their grandparents as rock stars 🎤⭐ because that’s exactly how we see them.

We brought the day to a meaningful close with a special Mass, giving thanks for the love, guidance, and strength that grandparents bring to our families and school community. It was a beautiful and reflective way to end a day full of joy, gratitude, and celebration
