🎨 Exploring Art Through Clay ✨

12th Nov 2025
We had an amazing visit from the council, who taught us all about the clay found in our local lough and the many ways it can be used. After learning about its origins and uses, we got creative and made clay portraits of our own busts!
First, we shaped the body, making sure to create wide shoulders and a smaller neck. Next, we formed the head and carefully added facial features—eyes, ears, nose, and a smile. Finally, we finished off our portraits with some unique hairstyles.
It was a fantastic experience to explore art in such a hands-on way, and everyone loved working with clay. A huge thank you to the council for sharing their expertise and making this workshop so enjoyable!
