World Book Day was a fantastic celebration of reading and creativity at St. Mary's P.S. today. Our Primary 6 and 7 students enthusiastically participated in various activities, making the day memorable for everyone.
One of the highlights of the day was when our Primary 6 and 7 students paired up with younger students for a special reading session. The younger students selected their favorite books to read with the older children, fostering a love for reading and creating a wonderful bonding experience. The younger students were captivated by the stories and enjoyed the attention from their older peers.
The excitement continued with a vibrant costume parade. Students came dressed as their favorite book characters, showcasing their creativity and love for literature. Our class was filled with an array of characters, from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to Harry Potter and the BFG. Each student had the opportunity to describe their costume and share why they chose their particular character. It was delightful to see the effort and imagination that went into each costume.
